MediaLeaders Social Media Bootcamp 2012 Justification Request For Employers
(Send this to your employer to ask if they will cover the cost for this event)
I’d like to attend the MediaLeaders Bootcamp this February 11th or March 10th 2012. This is a social media event that will teach me tactical social media tips that I can instantly start using for our online footprint.
This event will help me in three ways,
1) I will learn how to use social media to gain new customers
2) I will learn how to use Twiter, Facebook and Google+ to nurture existing relationships
3) This is the first-of-it’s kind social media conference that discusses PROFIT in all of it’s campaigns. It looks for a win-win in the results that help meet the bottom line for the company.
MediaLeaders is the largest and longest running of its kind with presentations from some of the most remarkable minds in social, mobile, and gaming. I will also have the opportunity to preview up-and-coming tools and services in our space that are not available to the general public. There will be wireless available during the sessions so I will have my laptop with me and will be able to address any immediate concerns should they arise.
In these times when we’re focused on getting the most out of what we have and this industry is changing I think it’s critical for us to learn from these thought leaders. Here are a couple of projects where we could most likely benefit:
[add project or initiative]
[add project or initiative]
This will also give me a chance to really learn not only from the most influential speakers in the industry, but from actual instructors and professors from Universities all over the world.
Here is an approximate breakdown of conference costs:
Airfare (approximately): $0 I will drive to the event that morning
Transportation: (round trip taxi from airport to hotel) $0 NA
Hotel: (1 night) $0 NA
Registration Fee: $ 110
Total: ~$110 What a deal!
I’m currently working on ways to reduce expenses, including airfare specials, transportation, and meals.
This conference should deliver a great educational foundation for me and I will be using it throughout 2012. With our current budget implementing any methods I pick up along with the strategies with a little bit of work and knowing exactly how to apply it after the conference we should start to see a dramatic improvement from our efforts.
Post Conference Report:
I will submit a post-conference report that will include executive summary, major takeaways, tips, and a set of recommended actions to maximize our current investment in search marketing and social media. Additionally, I can share relevant information with key personnel and the executive team.
Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to your reply.
